Add striking color to your walls with Pennant’s Parakeets — an authentic vintage offset lithograph from John and Elizabeth Gould’s vibrant tropical bird collection, printed circa 1940.
Also known as Platycercus elegans, Pennant’s Parakeets are native to Australia and admired for their brilliant scarlet and blue plumage. The Goulds’ careful study and illustration bring this exotic species to life with remarkable accuracy and detail.
Printed by Goes Lithographing Company on heavy fine art paper, this original lithograph measures about 12 × 10 inches — a beautiful vintage statement for any bird art or tropical gallery wall.
The Gould tropical bird print collection available from Pink Flamingos includes: New Hebrides Parakeets, Beautiful Parakeets, Earl of Derby Parakeet (top); South American Macaw, Pennant's Parakeets, Yellow Rump Parakeets (bottom). Each print measures about 12" × 10" for Pennant’s and New Hebrides, and about 12" × 9" for the others, all printed on heavy paper by Goes Lithographing circa 1940–1960.
