Erich F.T. Schenk: A Floral Curveball

Best known in his time as a portraitist, Erich F.T. Schenk surprised the art world with a late-career turn to richly colored florals. Printed in 1947, these four offset lithographs — American Beauty Rose, Luscious Tea Rose, Sky Hibiscus, and Pink Hibiscus — capture both romantic elegance and bold tropical flair, making them enduring favorites for vintage collectors and decorators alike.

Each lithograph comes from our family’s 1980s archive and has been preserved flat, never framed or displayed. With fewer than 100 copies of each design remaining, these are truly scarce pieces of “new vintage” history, offered exclusively through Pink Flamingos.
