Earl of Derby Parakeet by Gould | 1940s Vintage Lithograph | Tropical Bird Wall Art

Celebrate the elegance of tropical birds with the Earl of Derby Parakeet — an authentic vintage offset lithograph from John and Elizabeth Gould’s renowned parakeet series, printed circa 1940.

The Earl of Derby Parakeet, also known as Psittacula derbiana, is prized for its striking green plumage and distinctive head markings. This species, originally documented in the 19th century by the Goulds, is named in honor of Edward Stanley, the 13th Earl of Derby, a well-known British naturalist and bird collector.

This lithograph was printed by Goes Lithographing Company on heavy fine art paper and measures about 12 × 9 inches — a timeless tropical accent for any vintage bird collection or gallery wall.

Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era.
