Youth by Louis Icart | Romantic French Art Deco

First published in 1930, Louis Icart’s Youth depicts a carefree young woman caught in a moment of joyful energy as she holds tightly to a spirited black horse. This 1974 offset lithograph reproduction preserves Icart’s signature blend of motion, grace, and Art Deco elegance in a striking, oversized format.

This authentic offset lithograph is part of our “new vintage” archive — sourced in 1980 and stored flat, never framed or displayed. As a result, its colors and detail remain impeccably preserved. Two original tonal variations exist in this print run: one with deeper, richer contrast and one with a lighter, softer finish. Both are authentic and part of the original production process, allowing you to select the look that best suits your space.

Pairing Idea

Joy of Life is the perfect complement to Youth, both celebrating Icart’s lighthearted romanticism and delicate feminine forms. Displayed together, they create a serene, timeless vignette ideal for elegant interiors.

Framed Louis Icart lithographs "Youth" and "Joy of Life" styled above a modern console on a charcoal wall. Vintage Art Deco prints featuring women and horses, styled for a bold and romantic interior.

Just like the majority of our inventory at Pink Flamingos, this listing is vintage and has never been displayed or used. It's from limited, unopened stock sourced directly from the original manufacturer or distributer. As a result, its colors are more vibrant than those typically found in similarly aged prints, leading us to classify it as "new." Curious about new vintage? Read all about it in my blog: https://www.pinkflamingos.shop/blogs/news/vintage-vs-new-vintage-whats-the-difference

Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era. The patina resulting from any minor discoloration or fading is indicative of its age and contributes to its uniqueness. In order to ensure your purchase lasts a lifetime, please follow this link for care tips.
