White Ginger by unknown artist - 20" tall by 15" wide.

This original Offset Lithograph was printed circa 1944.

White ginger (Hedychium coronarium) is a tropical plant celebrated for its fragrant and elegant white flowers. Native to Southeast Asia, it belongs to the ginger family (Zingiberaceae) and is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions. The plant features tall stems with lance-shaped leaves, and its most distinctive characteristic is the fragrant flower spikes that emerge from the tips of the stems. The white ginger flower, composed of delicate white petals, exudes a sweet and pleasant scent. The plant is cultivated both for its ornamental value in gardens and landscapes and for its aromatic flowers used in the production of perfumes and essential oils. In some cultures, white ginger holds cultural significance and is incorporated into traditional ceremonies and rituals. Additionally, the young shoots and rhizomes of the plant are used in culinary practices, adding a unique flavor to certain dishes.

Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era. The patina resulting from any minor discoloration or fading is indicative of its age and contributes to its uniqueness.
