Stardust IV and V by Albo | Celestial Cherubs from a Dream

This enchanting lithograph set includes "Stardust IV" and "Stardust V" by the artist Albo, printed in Holland in 1958 for the Donald Art Company. Each piece features a chorus of cherubic figures — playful, glowing, and ethereal — floating in a starlit sky. The prints are brimming with the wonder of childhood imagination and celestial fantasy.

Printed in soft blues, pinks, and whites, the artwork captures a sense of peace and joy with a touch of the divine. The elongated horizontal format makes these ideal above a crib, daybed, or dresser. The pair comes from our original family archive and remains one of our personal favorites at Pink Flamingos.

Albo’s work for the Donald Art Company in the 1950s remains mysterious — little is known about the artist — but the enduring appeal of these prints speaks volumes. Their timeless beauty and perfect preservation make them a standout for vintage nursery collectors.

Just like the majority of our inventory at Pink Flamingos, this listing is vintage and has never been displayed or used. It's from limited, unopened stock sourced directly from the original manufacturer or distributer. As a result, its colors are more vibrant than those typically found in similarly aged prints, leading us to classify it as "new." Curious about new vintage? Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era. The patina resulting from any minor discoloration or fading is indicative of its age and contributes to its uniqueness.
