Red Riding Hood by artist A. Hencke - 20" tall by 16" wide.

This original Offset Lithograph was printed in the 1930s.

"Little Red Riding Hood" is a classic European fairy tale that has been retold in various forms across cultures. The story typically revolves around a young girl known as Little Red Riding Hood. In the most common version, she wears a red hooded cloak or cape, which gives her the name. Little Red Riding Hood is sent by her mother to visit her grandmother and bring her some food. Along the way, she encounters a cunning wolf who learns about her destination.

The wolf, often depicted as a deceptive character, reaches the grandmother's house first, and in some versions, he devours the old woman. Upon Little Red Riding Hood's arrival, the wolf impersonates the grandmother, attempting to trick the girl. The story unfolds with variations, but it commonly ends with a moral lesson about the dangers of trusting strangers and the importance of being cautious.

"Little Red Riding Hood" has been a popular and enduring folk tale, teaching lessons about the consequences of naivety and the importance of being aware of one's surroundings.

Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era.
