La Belle Rose by Louis Icart | Vintage Art Deco Lithograph

Originally illustrated in the 1920s, La Belle Rose is one of Louis Icart’s most graceful and romantic Art Deco works. This vintage lithograph, printed in 1974 by Heritage Publications, captures the elegance and flirtation of the French Roaring Twenties. The illustration features a reclining woman surrounded by soft pink roses, dressed in a flowing turquoise gown with a ribboned hat tie cascading around her arms.

This mint-condition offset lithograph is part of our exclusive “new vintage” archive — purchased wholesale by my parents in the late 1970s and stored flat, never framed or exposed to light. As a result, the colors remain vibrant and the condition pristine.

Pairing Idea

La Belle Rose pairs beautifully with Hortense — a complementary Icart lithograph featuring a seated figure surrounded by cascading pink hydrangeas. Together, they create a romantic Art Deco pairing perfect for vintage-inspired bedrooms or dressing spaces.

Just like the majority of our inventory at Pink Flamingos, this listing is vintage and has never been displayed or used. It's from limited, unopened stock sourced directly from the original manufacturer or distributer. As a result, its colors are more vibrant than those typically found in similarly aged prints, leading us to classify it as "new." Curious about new vintage? Read all about it in my blog: https://www.pinkflamingos.shop/blogs/news/vintage-vs-new-vintage-whats-the-difference

Please note that this listing is for an unframed authentic, genuine old print published in the early-to-mid 20th century using quality paper and inks. It reflects the colors and styles popular in decorative accessories of that era. The patina resulting from any minor discoloration or fading is indicative of its age and contributes to its uniqueness.
