A Bit About Emily

A bit about the second generation owner of Pink Flamingos.

Welcome to My Vintage Print Store!

Hi, I'm Emily, the current curator and passionate owner of this unique collection of vintage prints. While this iteration of the shop is a fresh chapter under my care, the roots of our business run deep. My parents, the original founders, started this journey many years ago with a love for timeless art and a vision to share the beauty of vintage prints with the world.

Continuing a Family Tradition

Growing up surrounded by beautiful, historic prints and learning about the stories behind them, I developed my own passion for vintage art. I’ve taken up the mantle to continue this family tradition, adding my own personal touch to the store while honoring the legacy my parents began.

A Passion for History and Art

I have always been fascinated by history and the stories that objects from the past can tell. Each vintage print in our collection is a piece of history, capturing a moment in time, an artistic movement, or a cultural phenomenon. Whether it's a delicate floral illustration from the 18th century or a bold mid-century retro print from the 1940s, each print is carefully selected for its quality, authenticity, and the story it tells.

From Family Roots to New Beginnings

Building on the foundation my parents laid, I’ve expanded what we have available to the general public and refined our selection process to ensure we offer only the finest pieces. Today, our store offers a wide range of vintage prints, from original artworks to high-quality reproductions, allowing everyone to bring a piece of the past into their home.

Quality and Authenticity Above All

I believe in offering only the best to our customers. Every print in our store is carefully sourced, authenticated, and inspected to ensure it meets our high standards for quality and authenticity. The inventory I currently carry is that which was sourced and vetted by my parents no later than the early 1990s.

A Personal Touch

Shopping for vintage prints should be a personal experience, and I’m here to help you every step of the way. Whether you're looking for a specific print, need advice on framing, or want to learn more about a particular piece’s history, I'm always happy to share my knowledge and expertise. Feel free to contact me with any questions or just to chat about all things vintage!

Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing

I am also committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing. I believe in the importance of preserving our planet and its resources. By offering vintage prints, we give new life to old art, reducing the demand for new production and promoting a more sustainable way of decorating our homes.

Join the Community

I’m thrilled to have built a community of like-minded vintage lovers who appreciate the beauty and history of these prints as much as I do. I regularly share stories behind the prints, styling tips, and exclusive offers in my blog and on social media. Follow along and join the conversation!

Thank you for visiting our store and sharing in our passion for vintage prints. I hope you find something here that speaks to you and adds a touch of history and charm to your space.

Warm regards,
Emily Mayes
